In the Momentum program, the level of interaction with Hollywood composers is high. You'll meet with a Hollywood composer who is currently active in the industry once a week.
There are different variations of how you interact, but the most common is this:
They give you scenes from a movie, and then they provide spotting notes which are kind of like a blueprint or guidelines for your composition. You compose based on these notes for one or two weeks, and then present your composition to the Hollywood composer.
They then critique your music, giving you valuable feedback like a coach would, helping you improve and refine your skills. It's a very hands-on approach, with lots of direct interaction and feedback from these top industry professionals.
Yes, the program provides assistance in kick-starting your career in the music industry. During the program, you will be offered to work on real-world projects. This means that job opportunities that come to the program's team will be directed to you. Additionally, the program emphasizes networking. You'll have a chance to connect with, and learn from, some of the biggest composers in Hollywood. This can open doors for future job opportunities. It's like being introduced to a group of successful athletes when you're learning a sport. You get the chance to learn directly from them and the connections you make can lead to opportunities in the field.
While the Momentum program is designed to significantly enhance your skills and prepare you for real-world work in the music industry, it does not guarantee job placement. However, it does provide valuable connections with industry professionals, opportunities to work on real-world projects, and tools to help you find and secure jobs. It's like attending a high-level sports training camp - while it greatly improves your abilities and knowledge of the sport, your success in becoming a professional athlete still depends on your own efforts and performance.
Many of our Momentum Mentorship students have not just gotten projects, but have become full-time composers. Please scroll up and watch the video at the top of the page to see examples of successful students who got their careers started after Momentum.
Unfortunately, NO. To ensure the group is cohesive, you need to have a certain skill to be part of Momentum. Momentum is by application only. It's for a small group of 20 people.
If you are a beginner and want to join Momentum, you'll be doing a 3-month training program prior to joining called IGNITE (more on this later)
Usually, twice per year. Usually, we've got groups already filled up for the next two years.
But, please book a call with us if you want to know the exact dates. (click on the Apply to Momentum button to book a call)

We offer split payments and financing. Please schedule a call with us for more information
Of course, please book a call with us and we'll put you in contact with MOMENTUM alumni.
To improve their skills and grow their career as a composer. It's like signing up for a marathon training program when you're trying to get better at long-distance running. You know you'll be learning from the best trainers (in this case, successful composers and industry professionals), practicing regularly with peers who share your passion, and receiving guidance every step of the way. By the end of the program, you're not only expected to finish the marathon but also to race like a pro.
